Zensho's MMD
The core of the Zensho Group is the Mass Merchandising (MMD) system. It is a framework to plan, develop and operate consistently throughout our food supply process: procuring raw materials, manufacturing and processing, distributing, and serving at our restaurants. The MMD system ensures a stable supply of safe and delicious food at an affordable price. It is our mission to expand this framework on a worldwide scale.

Searching for safe, high-quality raw materials
Zensho's procurement starts from creating a framework for stable supply by seeking global supply routes for high-quality raw materials. Our employees visit production sites firsthand to establish a traceability system that includes technological assistance and capital investment.

Manufacturing
Ensuring safe, high-quality food at our own factories
Zensho processes its food materials at its nationwide network of 27 plants* to ensure safety and quality for its customers. The production volumes are adjusted based on daily sales forecasts of restaurant locations, allowing us to eliminate excess inventories and ensure that we provide the freshest food.

Logistics
Our flexible supply network provides rapid delivery
Zensho delivers an appropriate volume of food to each restaurant based on its expected sales for each day, with adequate temperature control in frozen, chilled and room temperatures. Our nationwide network of 26 distribution centers* provides fresh food to restaurants around the clock, 365 days a year.

The Zensho Group puts effort into every aspect of its restaurants, constructing our own buildings and being particular about every detail, from the restaurant interior and exterior to the bowls and dishes, fixtures and fittings.
