Activities on Food Safety

Zensho's food safety assurance leads the world.

The order of priorities for Zensho's management is Safety first of all, followed by Quality and then Cost. We established the Food Safety Pursuing Division as a dedicated unit to build a system for food safety assurance. From the Farm Site to Restaurants

Zensho has established a dedicated inspection team for hygiene management as part of its Food Safety Pursuing Division, to conduct assessments based on Zensho's own rigorous safety standards. We have set strict standards for each type of operational site, such as manufacturing plants, logistics centers and restaurants, and carry out inspections covering dozens of categories, including temperature and time controls as part of food material management, personal hygiene and prevention of cross-contamination. We have established a hygiene management system that is able to achieve continuous improvements through feedback of inspection results to each operational site, and by implementing guidance and awareness programs.

Traceability for Food Safety Management

Zensho believes that traceability, along with thorough safety and hygiene management based on it, are important for the reliable supply of safe and delicious food to our customers.
For food materials, we confirm safety by reviewing the results of inspections of soil and water quality in producing regions. We also pursue food safety by making regular, ongoing checks of livestock and crop records to ensure that there are no issues concerning products. Furthermore, at the time raw materials are received, specialist staff from the Food Safety Pursuing Division conduct checks for residual pesticides and bacteria using the industry's most advanced testing equipment. Inspections are based on Zensho's own strict safety standards—more strict than those set by the Japanese government.
