Where do you work, Mom and Dad?

An event was held from July to August 2018 in which elementary school children of Zensho Group employees visited their parents' workplaces.
Forty children and their families participated in a program that included a company presentation, a hands-on experience of Sukiya 's operations, and a visit to their parents' desks.

In the "Sukiya Operation Experience," children dressed in the same uniforms as the restaurant staff learned how to take orders using real handheld terminals and served Gyudon to their parents, who were acting as customers. The children looked somewhat nervous, but they looked relieved once they successfully delivered Gyudon.

During the visit to my parents' desk, I exchanged business cards with their colleagues using specially prepared business cards for this occasion. It made me feel a little more grown-up.

This event is planned and implemented once a year by the "Positive Action Project," a cross-departmental project within Zensho Group.

Zensho Holdings has launched the "Positive Action Project" as an initiative to promote the active participation of women in their professional lives. This project involves increasing the number of women hired, supporting their continued employment, and planning and developing initiatives to create a more employee-friendly work environment.

"Children's Workplace Visits" are company tours designed to help children understand the importance of work by allowing them to see their parents at work and learn about the nature of their jobs, thereby fostering a supportive atmosphere at home.

It was a day that gave the children a glimpse into the places and people their parents usually work with. The children said things like, "Everyone was so kind, and exchanging business cards was fun," and "Making Gyudon was fun."
It seems like you'll want to support your dad and mom more than ever before.

The "Positive Action Project" will continue to promote the creation of an environment where employees can work with enthusiasm.
