"What's it like working at a family restaurant?" A starting point for a bright future.

Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation* held a work experience event at the family restaurant "Coco's" for children living in children's homes.

* Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation was established with the aim of supporting children living under social care so that they can choose a career path that suits their abilities and aptitudes, and dedicate themselves to their studies with enthusiasm, without being hindered from further education or participation in society due to economic reasons, and to contribute to the healthy character development of these children.

This work experience program, aimed at boosting children's self-esteem and giving them an opportunity to think about their future, included a tour of Coco's 's kitchen (an area normally off-limits to the public) and hands-on experience making Hamburg Steak Foil Pork, pizza, and desserts.

At first, they seemed nervous, but a smile naturally spread across their faces as they experienced grilling hamburgers on a large griddle for the first time.

Children who participated said, "Making hamburgers and pizzas was the most memorable part. People who work in restaurants seem to have fun." Facility staff who accompanied them commented, "At our facility, we don't allow children to help with cooking, so it was a valuable experience for them to touch the ingredients and actually cook. We also got to see them working seriously in a way that was a little different from usual."

One employee who served as a cooking instructor at the event reflected, "It's a shame for children to go through life without knowing about various things, so I participated hoping it would give them an opportunity to broaden their horizons, even just a little. The children were nervous, but they were all smiles when they started cooking, and I was glad I did it."

Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation will continue to support children in the future.
