Zensho 's initiatives through food
Warm meals provided to children in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, who were affected by the typhoon.

For four days, from October 15th to 18th, Sukiya food truck was dispatched to a school lunch center in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, and provided 3,666 servings of beef bowls, prepared in the food truck, free of charge to a total of 20 kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools in Tateyama City.

Due to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 15, this school lunch center was unable to provide side dishes and other ingredients for school lunches. As a result, the kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools under its jurisdiction were forced to continue serving simplified meals consisting of rice, furikake (rice seasoning), milk, and dessert.

This support came about when Sukiya, upon learning of the situation, offered to provide school lunch assistance, driven by a desire to fulfill its mission as a "food infrastructure."

Shigeki Sugata, director of the Tateyama City School Lunch Center, expressed his gratitude, saying, "The current simplified school lunches have not been adequately nutritionally balanced, so I am truly grateful for the provision of warm beef bowls this time, and I think the children are very happy."

The children seemed to enjoy their school lunch, which included freshly prepared beef dishes as a side dish.

In addition, Sukiya provided free meals from its food trucks to victims in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, Nagano City and Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture, and Marumori Town, Miyagi Prefecture, all of which were affected by Typhoon Hagibis. They served approximately 2,500 bowls of Gyudon free of charge.

We pray for the swift recovery of the affected areas, and Zensho Group will continue to conduct business activities and support activities that are in line with the needs of those affected.
