Academic Support & Industry-academia Collaboration

While expanding outside Japan,
Zensho focuses on building positive relationships and fostering human resources
by providing academic support in each country.

We believe that spreading understanding about Japan is the key to building positive relationships with each country and fostering human resources.

University of Tokyo / Nanjing Liberal Arts
Student exchange program

The University of Tokyo-Nanjing Liberal Arts Student Exchange Program, which started in 2013, aims to foster trust between students from both countries through liberal arts education (*), encouraging them to think critically and enlighten each other, and ultimately becoming well-rounded individuals who are knowledgeable about China and Japan.

*Liberal arts: Generally translated as general education, this term refers to a broad range of subjects that, apart from specialized academic disciplines such as economics, provide a foundation of general knowledge.

Zensho-UT Japan
Studies Program at VNU-Hanoi

We are creating a center for Japan studies in Vietnam through a program produced in a cooperative effort between the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School and Vietnam National University (VNU). By training a large number of young researchers and educators who understand Japanese, we are supporting the extensive and deep development of Japan studies.

Furthermore, we invite VNU students who visit Japan to our office and introduce our efforts to foster deeper international exchange.

Overseas training support program

Zensho supports the training of students studying veterinary medicine and botany at Osaka Metropolitan University (formerly Osaka Prefecture University).

This program is implemented as part of a curriculum that teaches about the distribution of food from overseas. Zensho employees take students to meat processing plants in Australia that supply beef to our group, allowing them to see and understand firsthand how international standards of hygiene management are maintained.

From the participating students:
"We found that hygiene management was being carried out based on HACCP."
"It was clear that the equipment used was disinfected after each animal was raised, and that the system was managed under standards considerably stricter than global standards, including restrictions on the use of pesticides in feed cultivation."
"Through the training, my own way of thinking changed significantly, and I wanted to gain more knowledge about food."
We received feedback such as the above.

Zensho will continue its efforts to disclose information related to food safety through learning support and other means.
