ZENSHO ACTION

Zensho 's initiatives through food
We held an outreach program called "Future Classroom" at an elementary school.

A fruitful future for our children.

In January 2020, we held a "Future Classroom *" at Takaido Higashi Elementary School in Suginami Ward, with the theme "What does it mean to work?".

*This outreach program is run by the NPO "Oyaji Nippon," which works to contribute to the healthy growth of children. Through people working in companies, they convey to children the rewards and challenges of work, as well as global trends.

Zensho, as a leading food company, started this initiative in 2013.
We convey the essence of work through "food," providing children with new insights into the enjoyment and realities of work.

At first, the children were nervous, but when familiar signs like "Sukiya," "Coco's" and "Hama-Sushi" appeared, the classroom instantly became lively with cries of "I know that one!"

After introducing everyone to the company Zensho Holdings, we all tried a "What does it look like?" game.
When asked, "What does this look like when it's projected onto the screen?", the children enthusiastically replied, "A fish!" and "A snake!"

However, to Zensho employees, they looked like "tropical fish."
This game is designed to help children understand what preconceptions are.
Looking at things solely through preconceived notions leads to a biased perspective, making it difficult to build healthy relationships.

Finally, a story about looking at society through a single bowl of Gyudon. How is Sukiya 's Gyudon made?

Beef, onions, and rice each have their own producers. Furthermore, many people are involved in the process of slicing the Gyudon delicious, transporting it to the restaurants, the systems that support the entire process, and cooking at the restaurants, before Gyudon is finally completed. If even one of these is missing, Gyudon cannot be made.

Through Zensho 's MMD (MikuMikuDance) program, we conveyed to children that every job has meaning and value.
I concluded the lesson by saying that I hope they will not just work to earn money, but strive to become the person they want to be with confidence and pride, and contribute to society.

*MMD (mass merchandising system)... Zensho unique system that plans, designs, and operates everything from raw material procurement to manufacturing, processing, logistics, and sales at stores.

These children will be the ones to lead the next generation. Perhaps they were able to learn about the joys and challenges of the working world before they enter it.
Experience many things and use them to enrich your life.
Zensho will continue its activities to ensure that children have a more fulfilling future.
