A bridge between Japan and Vietnam
In November 2022, Zensho Vietnam, which operates Sukiya in Vietnam, provided Gyudon at an orphanage in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, together with players from the Japanese professional soccer club Kawasaki Frontale.
Kawasaki Frontale and the Vietnamese professional football club Becamex Binh Duong FC have been conducting exchange activities through football every year since 2013 with the aim of developing Japan-Vietnam football business and promoting friendship between the two countries.
The children, wearing the uniforms they were presented with, played a mini soccer game with the players.
The children got to experience the professional players' skills firsthand and enjoyed interacting with them, their faces beaming with smiles.

After a good workout, everyone gathers in the cafeteria for lunch.
I ate my freshly made Gyudon while saying "Itadakimasu" (a phrase said before eating), which I learned from an employee of Zensho Vietnam.
An employee from Zensho Vietnam who was in charge of the visit that day commented, "It made me happy to see the children smiling and saying 'Delicious!' as they ate Gyudon. We want to continue to bring smiles to the faces of the Vietnamese people through food."
Zensho Vietnam will continue to engage in activities that connect Japan and Vietnam, as well as activities rooted in local communities.
