So that more children can focus on their studies with enthusiasm

Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation was established in 2019 with the aim of supporting children living under social care so that they can choose a career path that suits their abilities and aptitudes, and dedicate themselves to their studies with enthusiasm, without being hindered from further education or participation in society due to economic reasons, and to contribute to the healthy character development of these children.

Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation operates scholarship programs and social experience activity programs.
We provide non-repayable scholarships to cover tuition fees after high school graduation for children living under social care who often have to give up on higher education due to financial reasons *.
*Currently, the scholarship program is offered to facilities within Kanagawa Prefecture.

In April 2021, the second group of scholarship recipients entered their desired schools, and currently, 18 scholarship recipients are diligently pursuing their studies.

Prior to their enrollment in higher education, Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation held an online ceremony to recognize scholarship recipients. Board members, who are more experienced in life, offered congratulations on their advancement to higher education and advice on how to prepare for their new lives.

A scholarship recipient who is studying English with the goal of working in the United States in the future stated her future goals: "I want to work towards the SDGs, which are global goals, and do what I can to create a world that is kind to the environment and to people. Also, since I am attending a university that places a strong emphasis on English, I would like to acquire English skills that will be useful on a global level."

She also expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the scholarship, I've been able to concentrate on my studies. I've been able to study in an environment where I can learn what I want to learn, and I've made wonderful friends. Thank you."

Facility staff expressed their gratitude, saying, "Due to the coronavirus, the children haven't been able to go to part-time jobs at all. We are very grateful that the scholarships allow them to pay their tuition even if they can't work part-time."

Zensho Kagayaki Children's Foundation will continue to support children in the future.
