To provide safe and delicious onions,
We thoroughly ensure safety and quality control.
Zensho Group uses onions in a variety of dishes, including Gyudon. To use the most delicious onions available at any given time, we use both domestic and imported onions depending on the season. What's important is creating a system to deliver vegetables that are safe regardless of their origin, ensuring food safety. Our employees visit the production sites, prioritizing safety above all else when providing products to our customers.
Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are necessary for agricultural production of vegetables, grains, and other crops, both domestically and internationally.
We believe it is important to create a system that delivers vegetables that are free from food safety issues, regardless of their origin, and to communicate this system to our customers so that they can feel at ease.
Zensho Group generally follows the following management system for major imported vegetables.
We will narrow down our selection to regions and production areas where Zensho Group has a track record of trading, through trading companies that have a proven track record of importing in Japan and have thorough management of producers. In particular, we will exchange information on a daily basis regarding safety.
Employees with specialized knowledge in the agricultural field will visit the farm to check the surrounding environment, soil conditions, and agricultural water supply.

The most important thing is to verify the management system. This involves checking production records and management rules, conducting interviews to confirm whether the crops are being cultivated correctly, and even checking the actual work processes and warehouse management conditions.
The harvested crops are also subjected to independent inspections by specialized inspection agencies within the country of origin, commissioned by Zensho Group.
Imported goods undergo rigorous official checks by public inspection agencies in each country, and upon arrival in Japan, they are inspected by quarantine stations under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Once import permission is granted, we conduct rigorous internal inspections at our own testing facility (the Central Research Center).
