Rice is a staple food.
We ensure safety from the growing stage to post-harvest inspections.
At Zensho Group, most of our brands offer menus that use rice. Because rice is a staple food, we are extremely particular about safety and quality. We not only visit the production areas, but also conduct audits of rice milling plants and quality inspections of the rice, striving to always provide delicious rice.
Zensho 's the Central Research Center conducts monitoring tests for heavy metals and pesticide residues, as well as radiation testing to ensure safety.
At our quality inspection center, we conduct taste tests and grain measurements to confirm quality. These tests are performed by taking rice samples from our stores every week. The deliciousness of rice depends on the moisture content and the condition of the grains. By directly inspecting the rice in our stores, we ensure that we can always provide high-quality rice.
The reason why milled rice is said to have a shelf life of about one month is because the quality of rice deteriorates after milling. Zensho Group's rice is milled only after an order is placed from brown rice storage, and arrives at stores within 5 days of milling. This is when the moisture content of the rice has stabilized, making it the perfect time to enjoy it.
